Cutler, Sarah’s Cottage Creations by MNLA

A Stillwater-based landscape designer was one of several Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA) members recently honored for excellence in landscape management.

Diane Cutler of Sarah’s Cottage Creations was among those honored through the MNLA Landscape Awards program. Cutler’s project is located in Oak Park Heights and was given a Certificate of Merit in the Commercial Management category. More photos of this project and other 2012 award-winning projects can be viewed online at GardenMinnesota.com

A panel of practicing landscape education, landscape architecture and horticulture professionals judged entries based on maintenance procedures and schedules, disease and pest control programs and unusual or significant challenges associated with projects and steps taken to correct them. Entries were not judged against each other, but rather against standards of excellence in preservation of design, lawns, pruning, disease control and overall cleanliness of the site.

The MNLA is the state’s largest green industry trade association with more than 1,000 member businesses including garden centers; landscape contractors and designers; tree and flower growers; irrigation contractors, and lawn, tree, and garden services.
