County crack seal coating underway

Washington County began its 2012 roadway crack seal project May 9, and work is expected to continue for up to two weeks.

This project fills the pavement cracks with a hot sealant that is covered with a biodegradable paper product to prolong the pavement life. These projects will have short-term lane closures, advance warning signs and flaggers will direct traffic in work areas.

Roads identified for the crack seal work are:

n County Road 50 from State Highway 61 to 8655 County Road 50;

n County State Aid Road 7 from State Highway 95 to Paul Avenue North;

n County State Aid Road 18 (East-West) from County State Aid Road 18 to 15336 County State Aid Road 18;

n County State Aid Road 18 (East-West) from Afton Court to Trading Post Road;

n County State Aid Road 18 (North-South) from Seventh Street to County State Aid Road 21;

n County State Aid Road 21 from 4710 County State Aid Road 21 to 3601 County State Aid Road 21;

n County State Aid Road 20 from County State Aid Road 13 to County State Aid Road 19;

n County State Aid Road 13 from County State Aid Road 20 to County State Aid Road 22;

n County State Aid Road 11 from County State Aid Road 7 to State Highway 95;

n County State Aid Road 15 from County Road 61 to State Highway 96;

n County State Aid Road 12 from County State Aid Road 9 to County State Aid Road 15;

n County Road 61 from County State Aid Road 15 to Myeron Road North.

Crack seal projects might not be completed on all these roads this year. Any unfinished roads will be sealed in 2013.
