The Washington County Parks beaches at the Big Marine Park Reserve, Lake Elmo Park Reserve, Point Douglas Park, St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park and Square Lake Regional Park open Saturday.
Beaches will be open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. through July and from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. in August. Starting June 9 and ending Aug. 12, lifeguards will be on duty daily from noon until 8 p.m. When lifeguards are not on duty, swimming is at your own risk. Beaches will be open through Labor Day.
To ensure a safe and fun experience, please remember the following:
All swimmers are responsible for their own health and safety.
Parent/adults have an added responsibility for all children under their care.
The primary responsibility of lifeguards is to prevent accidents and to respond to dangerous situations that may occur. Lifeguards provide supervision, react to emergencies and enforce rules and regulations.
Swimming facilities are inherently dangerous. Follow all rules and regulations.
