The Merry Wives of Windsor

By William Shakespeare

Directed by Tim Perfect

The most-beloved comic characters of Shakespeare’s Henry IV plays come together in this bawdy, riotous romp. Sir John Falstaff has his lusty eye on a couple of middle-class housewives. However, feminine wit and wisdom triumph once again as the amused and annoyed wives teach Sir John a lesson, bringing chaos to Windsor in this popular comedy. Performances are June 30, July 1, July 7, July 20, July 28 and Aug. 5.

By Moliere

Directed by George M. Roesler

Orgon, a rich bourgeois, is having a mid-life crisis when he meets the wily con-artist, Tartuffe. Promising to release Orgon from his otherwise mundane life, Tartuffe persuades him to sign over his fortune and offer his daughter, Marianne, in marriage to his "spiritual" master. Only when he actually witnesses Tartuffe’s attempt to seduce his wife, Elmire, does Orgon come to his senses. Sinister trickery and incisive satire abound in this most masterful and most popular of Moliere’s comedies. Performances are July 6, July 8, July 14, July 22, July 27 and Aug. 4.

By William Shakespeare

Directed by Jeffrey Altier

This late tale from Shakespeare has all the ingredients of a great folk story – a plucky princess heroine, an evil stepmother Queen and her not-very-bright son trying to steal the throne, missing royalty stolen away at birth, defeated love, a deceitful villain, and an invading army. But somehow, you know it’s all going to turn out fine in this adventure romance as only the Bard can do it. Performances are July 13, July 15, July 21, July 29 and Aug. 3.
