ST. PAUL – Victories at first and second singles were not enough to carry the Stillwater as the Ponies were stopped by St. Paul Harding 5-2 in Wednesday’s nonconference match.

Stillwater’s Colton Anderson defeated Tou Xai Lee 6-2, 6-0 at first singles and Sam Stiff added a 6-2, 6-2 singles victory for the Ponies over Tong Kou Her at the No. 2 spot.

"We got terrific performances at first and second singles, but couldn’t muster any other points against Harding’s depth," Ponies coach Dave Kahl said.

Max Wilkinson and Brian Treacy of Stillwater fell short at third and fourth singles and the Knights swept all three doubles matches in straight sets.

n Stillwater’s Nate Anderson and Matt Treacy dropped an exhibition doubles match against Michael Lo and Chang Vang 8-2. Shujaa Green of Harding also defeated Victor Ary 8-1 in a singles match.
